Like Captain Alan Carter and many others, I completed my initial training at the Oxford Aviation Academy. Due to the then airline recruitment climate and my desire to remain in aviation, I joined Ryanair as cabin-crew.

However, in 2010 I was employed by LionAir in Indonesia as a copilot on the Boeing 737, flying both domestically and internationally in a very challenging environment….but a great learning environment.

This experience allowed me to join Norwegian Airlines flying the fabulous Boeing 737NG internationally around Europe.

I was very lucky to be one of the first to fly the Boeing 737 Max, on routes to the USA from the UK.
